The Universal Secret Law Of Attraction

By Leona Claives

A new way of thinking has been sweeping the nation for the past few years. It has caused people to feel more confident and to go searching for their goals with a heightened sense of purpose. This new thought process helps to bring anything you want within your grasp. This type of thinking is based on a philosophy espoused by Abraham Hicks called the secret law of attraction.

The theories behind the law of attraction have been around in one form or another since man first began to question his place in the universe. Approximately one hundred years ago, advances were made in being able to feel the powers of the universe in your mind. Since then, refinements have been made and today Abraham Hicks has codified the law of attraction.

The law of attraction is a way that you can master the forces of nature and uses all of its positive energy to get what you want in life. It is a mental discipline that starts with the creation of a positive energy field.

In order to create a positive energy field, you must think only positive thoughts. This means not only positive thoughts about others, but also positive thoughts about yourself. We are our own best critics. It is important that you are able to look at yourself in the mirror and honestly be able to say: "I like me" and really mean it.

These negative thoughts have stuck with us since then. We have to get rid of these thoughts. Start out by telling yourself you are smart, successful, and likeable. If you tell yourself this often enough, you will eventually come to believe it.

Once you have achieved this, you will immediately begin to feel the results. The law of attraction harnesses the powers of sympathetic vibrations. As energy travels through the universe, it is automatically drawn to objects that vibrate on the same frequency. So if your own personal vibrations are negative all you can hope to draw is negative energy.

Attract other people to you with the force of your personality. Influence people's first impressions. If you are confident and self-assured, others will treat you with more respect. More respect can also lead to more professional and personal opportunities.

After you have this amazing ball of positive energy it is time to project it on your goals. Simply visualize yourself getting what you want and focus all of your energy into that visualization. Once that is achieved act as though the object of your desire is already in your grasp. Since you have the powers of the universe backing you up, it shouldn't be that long before you have achieved your goals. Even though mental training can be somewhat difficult, if you are looking for a method to turn your life around focus your energy on the law of attraction.

DIY Home Renovation Mistakes

By Grace Williams

A home remodelling or renovation project is not as easy as it may sound. Renovating a building is not simply all about how it will look or function, but most significantly you have to consider what kind of materials are utilized during the renovation, how are you going to deal with your suppliers and contractors, etc. These of course will be handled by the person who will manage the project. Thus before a renovation project starts, one of the most essential decisions to be made is who will manage the project.

You can either hire a professional who will do the work or alternatively, you can supervise the project yourself. If you choose to manage the work yourself, make sure that you have enough experience to deal with this. According to Gail La Grouw, the following are some frequent mistakes done by owners who have decided to take on the role of managing the renovation project themselves,

1. Poor Planning

Producing a good plan is a crucial part of your role as a project manager. The success of the project largely depend on this. Your plan must include as much detail as possible. You have to consider planning for contingencies as well.

2. Poor Materials Management

Purchasing of the right materials at the right time is a large job during renovation. Think about this job properly, as it can be the reason of delay to your schedule. You can also incur additional cost if you do not have your materials at the right time.

3. Poor Record Keeping

File everything particularly things that have to do with finances. Record keeping must be done everyday. You surely will miss something in your list if you do it in an inconsistent way. Record keeping will also let you know precisely where you are in terms of time and dollars against the plan specification.

4. Not Managing The Work Site

Most subcontractors are attempting to cut cost by disregarding a number of rules and workplace safety items. This is a bad thing of course. Make sure that there is a proper insurance for their area of work.

5. Poor Communication

As home owners are not that knowledgeable with terms being used for renovation, miscommunication can occur along the way. Make sure that when you do not understand things, clarify it, but never loose your authority in front of your contractors of course.

6. Poor Change Management Control

All changes made during the renovation process must be documented and sign off.

7. Not Keeping Check of the Budget

Keep an eye with your budget, as most projects will overrun the initial estimate, make sure to add some percentage of your budget for your contingency plans.

Screen Printing

By Anita Sung

Screen printing is one of the initial methods used in printing process. In this process, the ink or any other printing medium is passed through a screen or 'mesh' that has been fixed on a frame, and a stencil has been applied to it. The image that needs to be imprinted is determined from the stencil openings. For the different colors, different screens are prepared and the process is repeated.

Silk screening or serigraph also involves screen printing. In this, the stencil method of the print making imposes a design on the screen of silk or any other fine mesh and the empty areas are covered with an impermeable substance while the ink is put on the printing surface through the mesh. The silk printing was the traditional method but now it has been replaced with the polyester for screen painting.

Screen painting is the technique developed by the Chinese almost 2000 years back and the screen was made of human hair stretched across a wooden frame. The Japanese developed it further by using the woven silk as mesh and lacquers as stencils. Europe adopted this technique much later as it involved silk which was not available in the Europe.

In the United States, the screen printing was popularized by artist Andy Warhol, he screen printed actress Marilyn Monroe in'62.
